Lebanese Army Launches Raids

The Army Command - Directorate of Guidance announced today, Sunday, that "on 2/3/2024, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate raided the house of the wanted person (H.R.J.) in the Sharawna area - Baalbek, without finding him. Several homes were also raided in search of him, during which approximately one ton of Captagon pills and a large quantity of the substance used to manufacture the pills, as well as a quantity of weapons and ammunition, were seized inside the home of the Lebanese (H.N.). On 3/3/2024, a unit from the army, supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, raided the homes of wanted individuals in the towns of Noura and Hakr Jenin - Akkar, where the Lebanese individuals (A.A.), (Z.A.), (A.A.), (J.J.), and the Syrian (M.A.) were arrested for engaging in arms and ammunition trafficking and smuggling activities. The seized items were handed over, and an investigation began with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judiciary."
