The Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League and head of the Social Affairs Sector, Ambassador Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, affirmed "the League's commitment to supporting any distinguished achievement on Lebanese soil, due to its special place in the hearts of all Arabs." Abu Ghazaleh stated in a comment to the National News Agency upon her arrival in Beirut today that she "carries a message from the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, to the participants in the launch of the Beirut Capital of Arab Youth 2023 activities, conveying greetings, appreciation, and wishes for success for this distinguished event organized by the Lebanese Ministry of Youth and Sports tomorrow in Beirut, with delegations from 15 Arab countries present." The Assistant Secretary-General expressed her happiness to participate in the launch of the activities tomorrow and expressed hope that "Beirut's hosting of this event would be a strong addition to joint Arab work in supporting and developing youth skills."
