The President of the Lebanese University, Professor Bassam Badran, announced that due to the deteriorating security situation resulting from "Israeli assaults and in order to ensure the safety of students and educational and administrative staff, the branches of the university in Nabatieh will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, February 15, 2024, with further statements to be issued according to developments."
In this context, the directors of schools in the Nabatieh area issued a statement saying, "In light of the current security situation and for everyone's safety, we, the group of official schools in the Nabatieh area, announce a closure tomorrow, Thursday, February 15, 2024, praying that God keeps harm and suffering away from everyone."
Furthermore, the Governor of Nabatieh, Houda Turk, announced the "closure of governmental offices and departments in the Nabatieh Governorate tomorrow, Thursday, February 15, 2024, due to the security situation resulting from repeated Israeli assaults, in order to ensure the safety of employees and business owners, with further statements to be issued according to the evolving situation."
Additionally, the Director General of the National Social Security Fund, Muhammad Karaki, announced the "closure of the Nabatieh office tomorrow, Thursday, February 15, 2024, due to the unstable security situation and repeated Israeli assaults on the Nabatieh Governorate, to maintain the safety of employees and clients, and it will reopen based on developments and the course of events."
