The Ras Baalbek Forum, in collaboration with the Knights and Scouts of the Virgin Mary and the Women's Solidarity Association, opened a Christmas market featuring local products, handicrafts, and food in the courtyard of St. Paul's Church in Ras Baalbek. The event was attended by parish priest Father Ibrahim Naameh, his assistant Father Rabi' Shaaban, notable George Roufael, and a number of local residents. The ceremony was presented by Suad Barakat, and there was a speech delivered by Forum President George Fadel on behalf of the participating associations, which began with a quote from the Holy Gospel: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men." He welcomed the attendees, wishing that this holiday would bring "joy, goodness, and peace to the country and everyone."
He noted that "this work is the fruit of cooperation between four associations for the benefit of the town, with limited resources and individual efforts from both young and old. We have succeeded in creating an atmosphere of joy and happiness for our town and its people. Through this joint effort among associations, we have laid the foundations of cooperation among us. Without this cooperation, we cannot move forward; what is needed from this partnership is to build a foundation for the town's future so that these activities become a constant encouragement for tourism, especially after our town has been placed on the tourist map." He thanked the associations that contributed to the success of the festival and called on everyone to unite, support each other, and work towards improving the town's infrastructure.
