The commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Nikolai Oleschuk, announced the dismissal of the Air Force Command spokesperson, Yuri Ignat, from his position, assigning him to another role. Oleschuk stated that Ignat "will remain (the spokesperson for the Air Force Command) part of the Air Force and will work in a different direction."
On February 8, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed the Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, referring to stagnation on the front and the need to "restart the generals." Additionally, the Chief of General Staff, Serhiy Shaptala, was also dismissed and Anatoliy Burhylievich, who led the regional defense forces, was appointed in his place. Zelensky also dismissed Oleg Gulyak, the commander of the logistical troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, replacing him with Volodymyr Karpenko. At the beginning of this month, Zelensky confirmed that he had signed several decrees regarding a number of new appointments in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
