Michelle Heyman scored four goals in the first half, leading Australia to a 10-0 victory over Uzbekistan on Wednesday, securing a place in the women's football competition at the Paris Olympics. After winning the first leg of the Olympic qualifying match 3-0 in extremely cold conditions in Tashkent, Australia played strongly on a very hot night at Docklands Stadium in Melbourne, stunning a crowd of 54,120 fans. Australia's captain, Steph Catley, said, "It was an incredibly special win. We did everything we planned to do, so it’s a moment of pride for us to reach another Olympic Games."
