Shmeitly Meets with His French Counterpart: Strengthening Relations

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Ambassador Hani Shmeitly, met with his French counterpart, Secretary-General Ambassador Anne-Marie Dicosta, in her office at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was attended by her diplomatic team, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Lebanese embassy, Ziad Taan, and Director of Inspection Hadi Hashim. A comprehensive discussion took place regarding bilateral and diplomatic relations between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of reinforcing and strengthening these ties in light of the developments occurring in the Arab region, given France's commitment to Lebanon's stability. There was also a strong emphasis on the need to fortify state institutions and public administrations, as they are entrusted with public welfare and bear the responsibility of implementing necessary reforms and effective public policies.
