Chinese state television reported that President Xi Jinping welcomed German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Beijing today, Tuesday. Scholz is on a three-day visit to China. He visited the cities of Shanghai and Chongqing and will hold talks in Beijing with Chinese Premier Li Qiang to discuss trade relations, the conflict in Ukraine, and the situation in the Middle East. The German government stated that Scholz's visit to China will focus on geopolitical challenges, development strategies, and economic relations. Scholz's visit to China is taking place from April 14 to 16, and his previous visit was in November 2022.
