Beirut Continues to Lead the Lebanese Rugby Union Championship

The Beirut team continues to lead the Lebanese Rugby Union Championship (15s), following matches of the second round held on Wednesday evening at the Al-Ahed Stadium on the airport road, attended by Deputy President of the Lebanese Rugby Union Ghassan Hijjar. The results were as follows: The Beirut team defeated the Al-Raya team 39/5 and the Al-Ahed team 29/0. The Sharks team also achieved two good wins against the Al-Raya team with a score of 14/12 and against the Al-Ahed team with a score of 36/0. The championship was overseen by the Director of the Lebanese Rugby Union and Championship Director Marwan Azar. The matches were officiated by referee Mohammed Barro. In the women's category, the American University of Beirut (AUB) team won against the Aquanettes team 15/10 after both teams drew in their first match 5/5.
