Mutiny within the Israeli Army!

The decision to dismiss two commanders for failing to engage with Palestinian faction fighters in Gaza has led to what resembles a mutiny within one of the military units. About half of the soldiers and officers in the concerned battalion have refused to return to service in protest against the dismissal of their company commanders, according to the newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth."

Details reveal that the Israeli army decided to fire two officers, namely a company commander and his deputy, due to the withdrawal of that company from a fierce battle with elements from the Palestinian factions attempting to counter the Israeli ground incursion in northern Gaza. The reason for their withdrawal was attributed to the lack of military support and airfire cover during the confrontations.

This incident appears to have sparked a severe crisis between the fighters of the company and their battalion commander, leading to half of the fighters not returning to their unit, due to the division's decision, which they viewed as biased towards the battalion commander at the expense of the company commander, according to the newspaper.

This incident has only intensified the wave of criticism faced by Israeli forces. Last Sunday, the Israeli army faced significant media backlash after Hamas released a group of Israeli prisoners in the heart of Gaza City, demonstrating that they remain capable of confrontation. This occurred despite recent claims from Israeli military leadership asserting that they had eliminated dozens of Hamas leaders and significantly weakened them, alleging that they no longer had anything in northern Gaza. Many media elites in Israeli channels directed criticism at military leadership.
