Lebanon... Arrest of Citizens and Seizure of Weapons and Ammunition

The Army Command - Directorate of Guidance reported today, Friday, that "as part of the security measures being implemented by the military institution in various regions, the Lebanese Intelligence Directorate arrested (A.A.) in the city of Baalbek for previously firing shots, and confiscated military weapons and ammunition in his possession, along with the Lebanese citizen (M.D.) in the city of Tripoli, for previously firing shots, the latest being on 03/18/2024 in the Bab al-Hadid area. Additionally, a unit from the army, supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, raided the homes of wanted individuals in the Qasr - Hermel area, arresting the Lebanese citizen (H.M.) who is wanted for previously firing shots and seizing a military weapon, a hand grenade, and military equipment. The seized items have been submitted, and investigations have begun with the detainees under the supervision of the relevant judiciary.”
