Important Statement from Al-Hikma Club After the Incident Involving Azzeh and Haider

The Al-Hikma Beirut Club issued a statement saying: "The administrative committee of Al-Hikma Sports Club Beirut regrets the incident that occurred to player Karim Azzeh on the field during the match between Al-Hikma and Beirut Club, and emphasizes the importance of maintaining sportsmanship among players and the necessity of respecting laws and moral values." The committee expresses its "strong condemnation of the incident that occurred after the match outside the field and the personal attacks directed at the players, officials, and technical staff of Beirut Club, which have nothing to do with sports or the rich history of Al-Hikma and go beyond any norms or ethics at the hands of a handful of outsiders whose primary goal is to harm the club, tarnish its image, and undermine its relationships with friendly clubs." The committee hopes that "these actions are individual, unorganized, or planted, and stands alongside the Lebanese Basketball Federation in all measures it will take regarding the mentioned issue."
