Former Minister Mohammed Shuqair, President of the Economic Bodies, received the Argentine Ambassador to Lebanon, Maria Virginia Ross Kantar, today, Wednesday, at the Beirut and Mount Lebanon Chamber of Commerce for a courtesy visit, accompanied by Minister Counselor of the Embassy Juan José Periterfid. They discussed the relations between the two countries and ways to develop them at the economic level. Initially, Shuqair emphasized the economic bodies' commitment to activating economic cooperation, confirming the Lebanese private sector's interest and readiness to enhance cooperation with the Argentine private sector to develop economic relations between the two countries. For her part, Ambassador Kantar praised the Lebanese private sector, expressing her interest in strengthening relationships with economic bodies and collaborating to advance bilateral economic ties. She also affirmed her country's commitment to the stability and recovery of Lebanon. At the end of the meeting, Shuqair presented her with a book from the Beirut and Mount Lebanon Chamber of Commerce.
Shuqair also received Tonious Lotfi, the honorary consul of Georgia in Lebanon, and discussed the prospects for developing Lebanon's economic relationships with Georgia, based on available opportunities and the potential for investment, whether in Lebanon or Georgia. They also touched on the possibility of organizing delegations of businesspeople from Lebanon to Georgia and vice versa. At the conclusion, Shuqair presented him with a book from the Beirut and Mount Lebanon Chamber of Commerce.
