The Governor of the Kharkiv Region, Oleksiy Syniehubov, reported that a Russian attack on the center of Kharkiv today, Saturday, resulted in at least eight injuries and damage to a medical facility, residential buildings, and other civilian sites. Syniehubov noted that "doctors are currently providing assistance to the eight victims, all of whom are in the hospital." He added, "The occupiers shelled the central part of Kharkiv," with damage occurring "only to civilian infrastructure." He further stated that this included "a medical facility, multiple apartment buildings, shops, public places, and transportation." Local channels published images of the damage sustained by the Kharkiv Palace Hotel in downtown Kharkiv.
Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that the Russian attack caused "significant damage" and a fire in a residential building, with information about the injured being gathered. Syniehubov mentioned that Russia carried out six strikes.
