Israeli Drone Assassination of Hezbollah Military Official in Nabatieh... and the "Target" Survives (Video)

Israeli Drone Assassination of Hezbollah Military Official in Nabatieh... and the

For the first time since 2006, an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle near the statue of Hassan Kamel Sabaa at the entrance of the city of Nabatieh, specifically on the main street. Hebrew media reported that a military figure in Lebanese Hezbollah was targeted, but sources in the party confirmed that the target was a military official in the southern region. Sources revealed that the target was Ali Karki, a senior figure in Hezbollah, who managed to survive the assassination attempt by avoiding presence in the vehicle through deception.

The sources pointed out that reaching a senior figure in the party indicates that Hezbollah suffers from security breaches and vulnerabilities. The targeted vehicle was rented and belongs to Abdul Karim Sherim. There is information suggesting that the intended target is Abbas Al-Dabbas, known as Abu Abdullah, who participated in building the Iranian air defenses in Syria.

The targeted vehicle in the city of Nabatieh had three occupants, and one passenger who was transported to the hospital was wearing a military uniform. The Israeli army reported that the assassination targeted the commander of the area from which Hezbollah attacked the Kiryat Shmona base today. It added: "The attack is in response to the serious injury of an Israeli soldier in today's attack on Kiryat Shmona." Notably, significant drone activity was observed in the skies of the city before the attack.
