America Will Continue to Work with Other Countries to Ensure Grain Transportation from Ukraine

The United States has confirmed that it will continue to work with other countries to ensure the transportation of grain from Ukraine after Russia withdrew from a United Nations-mediated agreement that allowed Ukraine to export grain via the Black Sea. The agreement, which has been in effect since last year, expired on Monday after Russia refused to extend it and withdrew. Russia indicated that it cannot guarantee the safety of ships, a move that the United Nations stated will "deal a blow to those in need everywhere."
