German Rapid Response Force's Withdrawal from Lebanon if War Expands

The German Ministry of Defense has stated that "the German rapid response force is prepared to withdraw from Lebanon if the war in Gaza expands to include other countries in the region." It added in a post on its account on the platform "X" that the rapid response force, specialized in evacuation missions, has recently prepared for evacuation from Lebanon in case the war in Gaza encompasses the entire region. It noted that "its forces deployed in the Middle East are engaged in specific tasks, the most important of which is executing evacuation operations for citizens from certain areas." Earlier, the German news agency reported that "the German armed forces have deployed more than 1,000 soldiers in the Middle East, primarily in Cyprus, to carry out a potential operation to evacuate German citizens from the conflict area."
