A statement was issued by Maronite Patriarch Beshara Raï, which read: "My dear brothers, esteemed archbishops, and respected general superiors and superiors of congregations, greetings and prayers in the Lord Jesus, along with apostolic blessings. Joy has filled our hearts yesterday and today with the news of Pope Francis's approval of the decree regarding the miracle of healing through the intercession of the servant of God, the venerable Patriarch Stephen Duhy. The celebration of his beatification will take place in Bkerke on August 2, 2024, which coincides with the anniversary of his birth in Ehden on August 2, 1630. We ask you to instruct the parish priests and heads of monasteries to raise prayers of thanksgiving to God during the Masses on Saturday and Sunday, March 16 and 17, and to ring the bells in celebration at one o'clock in the afternoon on Sunday for five minutes. We thank God for this new grace in the person of Blessed Patriarch Stephen Duhy."
