Sources informed "Wardna" that a recent visit by Hezbollah parliamentary bloc member Hassan Fadlallah to Iran two weeks ago focused on two key issues:
The first was the delivery of a message from Hezbollah leadership to Iran, requesting intervention to secure the Ali al-Taher hills.
The second involved a plea for financial support from Iran to distribute among displaced families, especially since the party had promised payments to begin in early September.
However, Iran's response to Hezbollah's requests was not favorable; Iranian officials conveyed to Hassan Fadlallah that Tehran would not intervene to protect "Ali al-Taher" and that they could not provide financial assistance at this time.
According to the sources, Iran's response led to a notable de-escalation in Hezbollah's rhetoric, particularly from Secretary-General Naeem Qassem. In his latest address following Fadlallah's return from Iran, Qassem emphasized patience and refrained from making bold declarations.
"Wardna" also learned that Hezbollah leadership has directed political office members and parliamentarians to abstain from making any statements regarding military situations. This directive aims to avoid further embarrassment after Vice President Mahmoud Qamati and MP Ihab Hamade's comments about Ali al-Taher put military leadership in an awkward position and disappointed the party's base after the hills' loss.
