The Lebanese-German Amal Association commemorated the disappearance of Imam Musa Al-Sadr and his companions at the Imam Musa Al-Sadr Cultural Center in Berlin. The event saw the presence of MP Hani Qobeisi, representing Speaker Nabih Berri, Dr. Suzanne Mouzi Yassin from the Lebanese Embassy in Germany, and Iraqi Ambassador to Germany Ali Klala, alongside diplomatic and political figures, party representatives, and members of the Lebanese community and the Amal Movement.
The ceremony began with a Quran recitation by Ali Hashim, followed by national anthems presented by the 'Islamic Scout Association'. Yassin delivered a speech relevant to the occasion.
In his address, Qobeisi praised the role of Lebanese expatriates, particularly those in Berlin, conveying President Berri's greetings and emphasizing the importance of adhering to the host country's laws and integrating into German society, while preserving Lebanese identity and fostering understanding between the Lebanese and German peoples.
Qobeisi highlighted the political situation in Lebanon, lauding Berri's role and stressing national unity in facing what he termed 'Israeli barbarism', accusing Israel of not honoring any ceasefire agreements.
He also called for retracting from direct negotiations, which he claims have yielded no results, and urged the Lebanese government to prioritize reconstruction, return of displaced persons, cessation of hostilities, and the release of prisoners.
The event included a dramatization of significant moments in Imam Al-Sadr's history, prepared by scout leader Mohammad Akhdar, with segments presented by Hassan Farkouh.
