The Ministry of Culture, under the patronage of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform, Mohamed Wissam Al-Mortada, held a Christmas evening at the National Museum, in collaboration with the National Conservatory and the National Choir of Al-Faiha. The evening began with a moment of silence, during which the representative of the Minister of Culture, writer Roni Al-Fa, highlighted the significance of the gathering for the birth of Jesus Christ. He said, "Between a Christmas tree adorned with colorful balls and a tree that bears innocent children blossoming a homeland, we choose a homeland on the Christmas tree from Lebanon to Palestine and to every corner of the earth, where the oppressed and persecuted reside. Jesus is born this year in a different manger, his cave made of the bricks of Gaza, and the scattered stones of churches and from every steadfast house in the south, indeed from every corner of Lebanon, his cave made from the remnants of a torn Gospel over the corpses of martyr children and from the remnants of a Quran and Al-Fatiha burned by the planes of the savages and the Tatars. Tonight, we celebrate your arrival, Jesus, and we rejoice in your birth as the Virgin Mary rejoiced in your childhood."
