Israeli attacks on southern villages and towns continue, also affecting the facilities of the Southern Lebanon Water Authority. Today's attacks targeted the town of Mansouri, resulting in damage to the solar energy system, which the authority uses to operate the town's well, as well as damage to infrastructure and cables. The authority reminds citizens and municipalities that "it has established two emergency lines to ensure necessary communication with the authority, and it continues to coordinate with all relevant parties to ensure that maintenance teams can access its facilities to start repairing the damages." The Southern Lebanon Water Authority, while condemning the targeting of vital facilities, especially water facilities, in a clear violation of all international charters and norms that call for the protection of institutions and facilities providing essential services to civilians from “military operations,” calls on all humanitarian and international organizations to pressure for a stop to these attacks and to ensure the continuity of water supply for citizens in southern Lebanon.
