Scholz and Biden Plan to Discuss Support for Ukraine and Israel-Hamas War

Scholz's visit will start today with a dinner with lawmakers from both U.S. parties. Tomorrow morning, he will have breakfast with American business leaders before meeting Biden in the afternoon. German government officials also stated that Scholz aims to discuss plans to strengthen NATO and the war between Israel and Hamas during his meeting with Biden. Scholz indicated that both he and Biden feel a responsibility to stand by Israel while creating suitable conditions for lasting peace in the region, such as a two-state solution and humanitarian aid for Gaza.
