The Court of Appeals in Kuwait upheld the verdict to imprison the famous "fashionista" Fatima Al-Mu’min, who caused a horrific traffic accident that resulted in the deaths of two Kuwaitis, provoking significant public uproar. According to the newspaper "Al-Majlis," the Court of Appeals confirmed the first-instance court's ruling to sentence Al-Mu’min to 3 years in prison with hard labor, revocation of her driver's license for one year, and a fine of 15 dinars for involuntary manslaughter, running a red light, speeding, and causing the traffic accident that resulted in the deaths of two individuals. The civil lawsuit has been referred to the appropriate court.

It is noteworthy that the incident, which captured the attention of the Kuwaiti public, occurred in the early hours of August 24, 2023, at the intersection of Al-Sour Street and King Fahd Bin Abdulaziz Road in Kuwait, resulting in the death of two individuals and injuries to two others. Fatima Al-Mu’min, a 30-year-old beauty expert and fashion blogger, began her journey to fame through social media in 2014.
