Hamas Leader Survives Strike in Eastern Lebanon

A leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) survived an Israeli drone attack that targeted him on Sunday in eastern Lebanon, according to a Lebanese security source speaking to AFP. A Syrian civilian was killed in the strike on a road near the town of Al-Suwairi in western Bekaa. This attack on Al-Suwairi, located about five kilometers from the Syrian border, marked the first targeting of this area in Lebanon since the exchange of shelling began due to the war in Gaza. The security source reported to AFP that the strike primarily aimed at a Hamas leader passing on the same road, who escaped the raid.
