Tajikistan Warns Against

The Tajikistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the circulated information regarding the involvement of some of its citizens in the terrorist attack on the "Krokus City Hall" shopping center in the Moscow suburbs on Friday evening as "false." The Tajik foreign ministry stated in a release: "We confirm that the Tajik side has not received confirmation from official Russian authorities regarding the currently circulating false information about the involvement of citizens of Tajikistan (in the attack). In this regard, we ask you to rely on the official information published by the Russian authorities."

The statement added that "the dissemination of unverified and unreliable information could harm Tajik citizens currently outside the country." Earlier today, Russian Deputy Alexander Hinshtein confirmed that a "Renault" car, believed to have been used by the alleged terrorists, was found in the Bryansk region southwest of Moscow, and two of them were arrested during a chase that involved gunfire. According to Hinshtein, security forces found a gun and a Kalashnikov magazine inside the vehicle, as well as passports belonging to citizens of Tajikistan.
