Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, in a statement from Beirut International Airport, pointed out that "after four months of genocide and Zionist aggression against Gaza and the West Bank, we see that Tel Aviv has not achieved any of its declared goals." He noted that "what we are witnessing has been realized thanks to God and the strength of the resistance in Lebanon, Palestine, and the region." He emphasized that "the leaders of the resistance in Palestine and Lebanon have performed their duties with all insight and knowledge," stating: "Hezbollah and the resistance in Lebanon have bravely and wisely fulfilled their deterring and impactful role." He confirmed that "Iran will continue its strong support for the resistance and Lebanon, and we consider that the security of Lebanon is the security of Iran and the region." He added that "we told Washington not to support Israel in its crimes against the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank," clarifying that "the Israeli entity is working to drag the United States into a quagmire of war in the region."
