The newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" reported today, Saturday, that an Israeli delegation is likely to head to the Qatari capital, Doha, this week for a new round of negotiations regarding the release of hostages. The Israeli newspaper stated: "It is expected that the war cabinet will meet tonight or tomorrow (Sunday) to discuss the 'maneuvering space' that will be granted to the head of the Mossad, who will lead the team arriving this week to conduct talks in Qatar. Afterwards, the topic will be discussed in the broader political-security ministerial council." In a statement to CNN, an Israeli official said that the Israeli war council will convene on Saturday evening to discuss and formulate the guiding principles for the delegation. He added that the reason for the delegation's trip to Doha is that a response has finally been received from the "Hamas" movement, although it is "still extreme and ridiculous," and he anticipated that the negotiations would be "extremely difficult."
