Imam of the Imam Ali Mosque and Assistant Inspector General of the Dar al-Fatwa Sheikh Hassan Murab wrote on his account on the "X" platform: "The Grand Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Deryan, has intervened in the dispute between Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi and Major General Imad Othman." He added, "His Eminence has reached a solution to the existing conflict, and it is expected that Mawlawi will visit Mufti Deryan on Monday morning, followed by Othman's visit." Murab continued, "Efforts are underway to hold a final meeting between the two parties under the auspices of His Eminence, may God bless his life and keep him united with his children and all the children of the nation."
It is worth noting that Minister of the Interior and Municipalities in the caretaker government, Bassam Mawlawi, addressed a request yesterday, Friday, to grant permission to pursue Major General Othman in all cases filed against him in the military and judicial courts.
