The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement today, Saturday: "As part of the daily monitoring conducted by the Internal Security Forces to combat theft operations in various Lebanese regions, and after several recent thefts from pharmacies and commercial stores in the city of Sidon by an unidentified individual, the specialized units intensified their field and investigative measures to identify the perpetrator and apprehend him.
As a result of intensive investigations and inquiries, the Information Branch managed to identify him as W. B. (born in 1987, Palestinian). He has a history of criminal offenses related to drugs, gunfire, and creating disturbances.
On February 7, 2024, following meticulous surveillance, one of the branch's patrols was able to apprehend him in the act inside a pharmacy in Sidon while he was committing theft. During the investigation, he confessed to the charges against him. The necessary legal procedures were taken against him, and he was referred to the competent authority based on judicial instructions."
He targeted the theft of pharmacies and commercial stores in Sidon, and the Information Branch uncovered his identity and apprehended him in the act.
