Hamas representative in Lebanon, Ahmed Abdel Hadi, emphasized that "the Battle of the Al-Aqsa Flood came as a response to the Zionist crimes against the Palestinian people and the constants of the Palestinian cause, during which resistance was able to reverse the balances and change the rules of the conflict with the occupying enemy that has been occupying our land for over 75 years." After meeting with religious scholar Sayyed Ali Fadlallah at the head of a Hamas delegation, Abdel Hadi stressed "the necessity for the international community to assume its humanitarian responsibility regarding the war crimes committed by the occupation and the criminal retaliatory operations against civilians," considering that "what the occupation is doing is an attempt to overcome the consequences of the military and security defeat it faced on October 7." He also emphasized "the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, their deep roots in their land, and their refusal of forced displacement."
He called on the scholars of the nation to "mobilize the energies of the nation and take a clear stance against the ongoing genocide and war crimes," urging the intensification of advocacy campaigns for the Palestinian people and their resilient resistance. For his part, Fadlallah commended "first the heroic fighters who face the brutal Zionist aggression against peaceful civilians on the front lines in Palestine and Lebanon," confirming that "what has happened has restored the glow to the Palestinian cause, which is being worked on from all directions to be ended." He sent greetings "to the resilient and steadfast people of Gaza who are sacrificing dearly for the liberation of the land and will not be deterred by the numerous massacres committed by this enemy from achieving it," asserting that "the history of this enemy is filled with bloody massacres against children."
He appreciated "the role played by the media and social media in exposing the crimes of the enemy," condemning the "enemy's attempts to silence any voice and obscure any image." He called on "Arab and Islamic countries to support this people and not to be content with statements," addressing the Arab and Islamic peoples who have proven their solidarity with the Palestinian people to escalate their actions and support them by all available means for their steadfastness and resistance to the arrogance of this enemy," thanking "all the free people of the world who participated in countering the fierce media campaign that worked to distort the facts and aimed at presenting the correct narrative of what happened."
