Israeli Auction Selling Artifacts from Yemen

Yemeni archaeological researcher Abdullah Mohsen revealed today, Sunday, that six artifacts from Yemen are set to be auctioned at an Israeli auction at the end of April. Mohsen stated in a post on Facebook: "On April 25, 2024, six archaeological artifacts from Yemen will be displayed at the auction organized by the controversial Israeli archaeologist Dr. Robert Deutsch, on the global auction platform Bidsprite."

He explained that the first artifact is a small bronze statue dating from the 1st to 4th century AD, depicting a seated lady holding a bird and a vessel, with inscriptions on her chest and around the seat she occupies.

He added that the second artifact is a reclining bronze ibex from the 5th century BC, beautifully colored with brown and green patina.

The third artifact is a rare bronze arm of a female wearing a bracelet, from the 1st century AD, noting that "the little finger has been repaired, but it is in good condition."

The researcher mentioned that the auction has previously displayed and sold several Yemeni artifacts over the past six years, without any Yemeni involvement to halt these operations.
