Alaa Mubarak, son of the late Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, criticized remarks made by Jared Kushner, son-in-law and senior advisor to former U.S. President Donald Trump. In a statement he shared on his official account on the platform "X," he described Kushner's comments as "shocking and provocative" that provoke emotions and ignore the rights of the Palestinian people, being far from achieving a peaceful and just solution that ensures security, peace, and stability in the region. He referred to Kushner's assertion that the idea of establishing a Palestinian state is a bad one and that the waterfront in Gaza is an investment opportunity as "teenage political talk." He also described these remarks as "despicable," stating that "Kushner talks about relocating the majority of the people from Gaza to the Negev or Egypt and building high-value properties on its waterfront as if it were his father's land!"
