Zelensky: Ukraine Makes Progress Thanks to Patriot and IRIS-T Defense Systems

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky noted this Sunday evening that Ukraine is achieving "significant results" thanks to the American "Patriot" and German "IRIS-T" defense systems, despite dozens of attacks launched by Russia over the past week. Zelensky stated that he received a report on the use of the advanced air defense systems obtained by Kyiv from its partners, emphasizing that "these are powerful and highly effective systems. They have already achieved significant results, not just for Ukraine." He added that the reason for this is that every time Russian missiles are destroyed, "it reassures the world that a terrorist state is unable to breach our collective security." Zelensky mentioned that Ukraine thwarted "a large part" of the Russian attacks last week, including the downing of 65 missiles of various types and 178 attacking drones, 87 of which were of the Shahed model.
