Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has surpassed American billionaire Elon Musk in Bloomberg's ranking of the world's richest people, becoming the third richest person in the world for the first time since 2020. Musk, who previously held the top spot in the Bloomberg ranking, saw his fortune decline in early March. According to Bloomberg, Musk's wealth shrunk by $48.4 billion during 2024, bringing it down to $180.6 billion, while Zuckerberg added $58.9 billion to his fortune, reaching $186.9 billion as Meta's stock climbed to new record highs.
