The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which monitors developments in the Syrian war, indicated that loud explosions were heard in the capital and its surroundings, which were found to be caused by an explosion in missile depots belonging to Iranian-affiliated forces. It added that the cause of the explosions is still unclear, and no information on human casualties has been reported yet, noting that Syrian air defense forces intercepted hostile targets in the skies surrounding Damascus. The Syrian news channel "Al-Ikhbariya" stated that an Israeli aggression targeted the area around the capital Damascus. It mentioned that the air defenses shot down most of the aggression's missiles.
