The organizers of the Laver Cup announced today that the 2025 edition will take place in San Francisco, home to the NBA's Golden State Warriors. This will be the first time the three-day team competition, featuring the best six male players from Europe against six players from the rest of the world, is held on the West Coast of the United States. The next edition of the Laver Cup, which will be the eighth of the event co-founded by Roger Federer in honor of tennis legend Rod Laver, is scheduled for September 19-21.
Federer, who has won 20 Grand Slam titles and helped Team Europe win the Laver Cup three times, stated in a press release: "Bay Area fans will love how the Laver Cup brings together the best players in the world as teammates. They will get to see them put their rivalry aside and sit together on the court, cheering for each other. This isn’t found anywhere else." This year’s Laver Cup will take place from September 20-22 in Berlin, where Team World will aim for a third consecutive title.
