The Libyan Al-Sawaed Football Club mourned its star Youssef Al-Homali, who passed away after swallowing his tongue while sleeping. The club stated in a release about the death of Al-Homali (22 years old), who also played for the Libyan Olympic national team, that "the death of player Youssef Al-Homali occurred after he swallowed his tongue, which led to a lack of oxygen in the brain, and he remained in intensive care before passing away in the hospital."
