On Saturday, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued a statement saying: "As part of the ongoing efforts by the Internal Security Forces to combat different types of crimes, information was received by the Baalbek Investigative Unit regarding the presence of a wanted individual in the town of Qabb Elias." It added: "As a result of close monitoring, one of the patrols from the unit was able to locate and arrest him in the fields of the town. It was found that his name is A. K. (born in 2001, Syrian) and he is wanted under a warrant for theft. Upon searching him, a quantity of narcotic pills was found in his possession, and it was revealed that his residency is illegal." The necessary legal action was taken against him, and he was transferred along with the seized items to the relevant authority for legal proceedings based on the directives of the competent judiciary.
