An Italian sports court announced today, Friday, the rejection of the former president of Juventus, Andrea Agnelli, to lift his ban from engaging in any activities related to football due to alleged violations in payments from the club to players. In July, the Italian Football Federation imposed a 16-month ban on Agnelli, which was later reduced to ten months in September. Agnelli led Juventus for over a decade but announced his resignation in November 2022 following a financial scandal that hit the most successful team in Italian football. In connection with the same case, Juventus reached a settlement with Italian football authorities in May, paying a fine of €718,000 (approximately $781,543), and did not appeal the penalty of a ten-point deduction from the team's league total the previous season.
