Boxer Abbas Qasim Qualifies for the Final Match of the Asian Championship

Iraqi youth boxing team member Abbas Qasim Hamdan has qualified for the final match in the 51 kg category at the Asian Youth and Junior Boxing Championship, currently taking place in Kazakhstan. The President of the Iraqi Boxing Federation, Ali Taklif, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) today, Wednesday, that "our boxer Abbas Qasim delivered an outstanding performance from the first bout, where he managed to win against the Jordanian boxer, then overcame his Kazakh opponent, and today defeated his counterpart from the South Korean team in the semifinals to qualify for the final match against the Japanese team player." Taklif added that "Abbas Qasim Hamdan faced some of the best champions in the world and proved his right to compete for the gold."
