An Iraqi security source reported the killing of a high school student by armed men in Dhi Qar Governorate. The source stated that "a sixth-grade student was shot dead by unidentified assailants who fired three bullets at him in front of Al-Washah Street in the town of Al-Fadhliyah." The source added that "the reasons for his murder have not yet been determined," noting that "a police force cordoned off the scene of the incident and the victim's body was transferred to forensic medicine."
