US Secretary of State Antony Blinken congratulated everyone celebrating Nowruz through a published message. In his message, he said, "On behalf of the State Department, I wish a happy Nowruz to all who celebrate this ancient tradition and the arrival of spring. May we cherish the bonds of family and the promise of a brighter tomorrow."
He added, "Throughout the centuries, communities around the world, including in Iran, the Middle East, Central and South Asia, and Europe, have come together to celebrate the renewal of nature and the promise of the new year. Nowruz offers an opportunity to renew important relationships, appreciate blessings, and eagerly await the opportunities the future will bring." Blinken wished that the new year would bring more peace to the world, along with health, prosperity, and joy.
