Hezbollah Launches Major Rocket Attack on Kiryat Shmona (Video)

Hezbollah announced that it launched dozens of Katyusha rockets at Kiryat Shmona today, Thursday, in response to the killing of ten civilians in Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon yesterday, Wednesday. Rescue workers and Israeli police reported that several rockets landed in Kiryat Shmona, causing damage. There have been no reports yet of casualties or injuries. Hebrew media indicated that explosions were heard in the Kiryat Shmona settlement without any warning alarms being activated.

In its statement numbered 7 today, Hezbollah mentioned that they targeted surveillance equipment at the maritime site in Naqoura with appropriate weapons, achieving a direct hit. Hebrew sources confirmed that 10 rockets fell in Kiryat Shmona without activating alarm systems, and power outages were reported in the settlement. Israeli media quoted Kiryat Shmona municipality spokesman Doron Shnafer as saying, "We heard the sound of two strong explosions in the city; we are surveying the situation and will provide updates later."
