Mikati Receives Magro

Prime Minister Najib Mikati welcomed the French government's representative for Mediterranean issues, Karim Amellal, in the presence of the French Ambassador to Lebanon, Hervé Magro. This visit of the French envoy is part of efforts to activate previous initiatives regarding the relationship between Mediterranean countries.

**Lebanese Armed Forces Veterans Association**

President Mikati received a delegation from the "Lebanese Armed Forces Veterans Association," which included Major General Nicolas Mzahher, Brigadier General Mustafa Muslimani, Brigadier General Antoine Haidamous, Brigadier General Elias Younes, and Brigadier General Bassam Awidat. Major General Mzahher spoke on behalf of the delegation, stating: "We came as a delegation from the Lebanese Armed Forces Veterans Association to visit Prime Minister Mikati. This visit is multifaceted: first, to congratulate Prime Minister Mikati on the joyous holidays; second, to thank him for his contribution to the success of the recreational day for the children of martyrs of the Army, security agencies, Civil Defense, and the Fire Brigade. We presented him with the realities faced by retirees, especially military retirees, and found him fully prepared to ensure balance and equality between retirees and those in active service, whether in the public sector or military agencies, and that he will make every effort to achieve justice for retirees during this current phase we are going through."

President Mikati also met with MP Selim Sayyigh to discuss service-related demands.

**Kuwaiti Prime Minister**

The Prime Minister made a call to Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah to congratulate him on the formation of the new Kuwaiti government, discussing the current situation in the region and Lebanese-Kuwaiti relations.
