Austin: A Widespread Famine in Gaza Will Lead to Long-Term Conflict

U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin stated today, Tuesday, that a widespread famine leading to deaths in Gaza will likely exacerbate violence and result in a long-term conflict. Austin said before the Senate Armed Services Committee, "This will accelerate the pace of violence... and lead to a long-term conflict." He emphasized that "this should not happen... We must continue to do everything we can, which we are doing, to encourage the Israelis to provide humanitarian aid."
