An abandoned building collapsed in the Zahrieh area of Tripoli, near Al-Mir ovens. According to preliminary information, no injuries were reported. It is noteworthy that the building was historic but had suffered neglect over many years.
As a result, the Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Bassam Mawlawi, contacted the Governor of the North, Ramzi Nohra, the Director General of Civil Defense, Brigadier General Raymon Khattar, the Commander of the North Region in Internal Security Forces, Brigadier General Youssef Darwish, and the Head of the Engineering Department at the Tripoli Municipality, Izzat Fattah, following the collapse of the building in Zahrieh, Tripoli.
Mawlawi emphasized the need to ensure the safety of adjacent buildings through specialized technical devices, in addition to opening an investigation into the causes that led to the building's collapse and taking appropriate measures to ensure the safety of passersby in the area.
