Sources revealed to Reuters that the finance ministers of the G20 did not reach a consensus on a joint statement amid deep divisions over geopolitical conflicts. Brazil is preparing to present a final statement as the group’s president at the conclusion of talks on Thursday. Paulo Piquet, the director of international affairs at the Brazilian central bank, stated on Thursday that the finance ministers and central bank officials of G20 countries discussed global conflicts, including Gaza and Ukraine, during their meeting in Sao Paulo. Piquet mentioned in conversation with reporters that he is "not aware of the final version of the statement that will reflect the common viewpoint of the group."
