Tension on the Southern Lebanon Front: One Dead and Seven Injured from Shelling on Safed

The south witnessed heightened tension in the morning as sirens were sounded in Safed and a large number of settlements in the north, with numerous explosions heard in the area. Initial reports indicated five injuries from rockets falling in Safed in northern Israel, but Israeli emergency services later confirmed one death and the number of injuries rising to seven, including three in serious condition.

Israeli media pointed out exceptional gunfire from Lebanon towards the Safed area and "Meron," which are strategically significant areas for Hezbollah. Reports revealed that Hezbollah used precision missiles in the barrage targeting Safed, noting that one rocket fell directly near the northern command, while the Iron Dome was unsuccessful in intercepting the last missile.

Meanwhile, Israeli army radio announced the detection of eight rockets fired from Lebanon toward Safed. Avigdor Lieberman, head of the "Yisrael Beiteinu" party, commented on the rocket fire towards Safed, stating that the red line has turned into a white flag and that the war cabinet has surrendered to Hezbollah and lost the north.

Last night, the Israeli army dropped flares over the villages in the western and central sectors and launched a number of incendiary bombs to set fire to the forests adjacent to the blue line on the outskirts of the towns of Naqoura, Jabal al-Lebuna, Al-Na'ama, and Al-Bustan.
