A massive fire broke out today, Tuesday, in the historic building of the old Copenhagen Stock Exchange, constructed in the 17th century, leading to the collapse of its famous spire. Danish rescue services are active at the site, with fire trucks surrounding the building, which currently houses the Danish Chamber of Commerce, located near Parliament. The building is currently undergoing renovation to celebrate its 400th anniversary. Danish Culture Minister Jakob Engel Schmidt wrote on the platform "X": "Horrifying images are coming from the stock exchange building this morning. 400 years of Danish cultural heritage are burning."
